LAN for terminals (Opengate)

Computer and Network Center(hereinafter CNC) operates a LAN (Opengate) for terminals that enables faculty members and students to use the Internet by connecting their personal laptops to the campus LAN.

Use of Wireless LAN for Terminals

After connecting to the "000saga-u" access point, which can be used commonly throughout the university (Honjo, Nabeshima, and Arita), users can access the Internet by performing web authentication and terminal registration for the terminal LAN.

Connection of access point "000saga-u"

Enter your user ID (student ID number for students) and password to connect to "000saga-u".

If you change the password, delete the "000saga-u" setting and connect again.

Web Authentication of LAN for Terminals

Launch your browser (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, safari) and access the official website of Saga University (http://www.saga-u.ac.jp).

Then the "Single Sign-On Authentication" screen will appear. Enter your user ID (student ID number for students) and password to log in.

Registration of a terminal LAN

After web authentication, click on "Device Registration Page" to "Register Device".

By registering your device, you can use the Internet without authentication for one month.

The terminal registration is renewed every month.

Enter the device name in single-byte alphanumeric characters in the "Device Name" field and click "Register".
At the end of each month, a "Mac Address Registration" e-mail (e-mail subject: Mac Address Registration) will be sent to the e-mail address registered on the "MAC Address Registration" screen.
Access the link page in the body of the e-mail, confirm that the [Update] checkbox is checked, and click the [Send] button.

When communication is not possible through the terminal LAN

See help LAN Authentication System for Terminals (Japanese Only)

If you do not know the network settings of the LAN or not being able to communicate even when connected to the wireless LAN, please contact us.

When a department installs its own wireless AP equipment

When multiple wireless AP devices are installed in a small area, radio interference may cause unstable communication between the wireless AP and terminals.

If a department wishes to install its own wireless AP device, please be sure to coordinate with the CNC office.
