Purpose
The Center oversees the core information infrastructure that supports academic information services at Saga University. It promotes the development of the University's academic information environment, enhances digital library services, and advances the digitalization of administrative operations.

- Development and maintenance of the core campus information network
- Development and maintenance of university-wide academic information systems
- Development and maintenance of the infrastructure for administrative information systems
- Development and maintenance of the university database
- Implementation of information security measures
- Technical support for information technology initiatives within the University and the local community
- Promotion and support of the digitalization of administrative operations
- Development and maintenance of other shared information infrastructure

Educational Support
- Maintain and operate computer laboratories and develop and maintain university-wide information education systems.
- Support the integration of information technology and multimedia into specialized and general education.
- Promote self-directed learning and information exchange by providing open-access computer terminals and network access.
- Support information education at the University's affiliated kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and special support school.
- Support the distribution and collection of course materials, assignments, and reports through network services such as the Web and e-mail.
- Conduct research on technological trends in computing environments for education and research.
- Conduct research and development on new technologies, software, and applications of information technology.
Research Support
- Develop and maintain core information systems for research support.
- Support the advancement of research through the use of information technology.
- Support domestic and international research collaboration through network services such as e-mail.
- Support the dissemination of research outcomes through network services such as the Web.
- Conduct research on technological trends in computing environments for research.
- Conduct research and development on new technologies, software, and applications of information technology.
Network Support
- Develop and maintain the core campus network and promote its continuous enhancement.
- Contribute to the planned development of the university-wide network through coordination and liaison activities.
- Conduct research on technological trends in network systems and their applications.
- Conduct research and development on new technologies, software, and hardware.
- Deploy, maintain, and manage various servers, and enhance network services.
Network Security Management
- Implement measures to prevent unauthorized access.
- Manage access logs for the investigation and tracing of unauthorized access.
- Collect information on unauthorized access incidents and disseminate relevant information within the University.
- Implement countermeasures to minimize the impact of incidents resulting from unauthorized access.
Systems located in the server room centrally manage the campus network.
Campus Informatization Support
- Support the informatization of university operations and contribute to the advancement of university management.
- Support the advancement of information systems that bridge educational and research activities with administrative operations.
- Collect and provide information on computers, networks, and related technologies within the University.
- Provide technical consultation services on computers and networks to academic and administrative units across the University.
- Provide information and training on new computer and networking technologies.
Regional Informatization Support
- Provide technical support for regional informatization and contribute to the sustainable development of the local community.
- Provide technical assistance for primary and secondary education.
