Microsoft EES Program
(Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions Program)

Service Overview

Since 2014, Saga University has maintained a comprehensive license agreement with Microsoft Japan, Inc. for the following purposes:

  • Enhancing support for education and research
  • Strengthening information compliance through proper management of software assets
  • Reducing costs related to software purchases and upgrades
  • Supporting the Learning environment through the use of student-owned PCs

Faculty, staff and students at Saga University are eligible to use the following Microsoft software products free of charge:

  • Microsoft 365 Portal
    ・Email（Outlook）
    ・OneDrive
    ・Office for the Web（Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote）
    ・Teams
    ・Visio for the Web, Forms, Planner, etc.

  • Microsoft Office for Desktop
    ・Faculty: Microsoft Office licensed under the Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) Program　(For use only on university-owned devices）
    ・Faculty and students：Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
  • Windows OS
    ・Faculty: Windows Upgrade License under the Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) Program
    (For use only on university-owned devices)


Faculty can download Office and Windows upgrades for university-owned PCs from the site below.

Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise and Office 365 for Mac, available to faculty and students for use on their personal devices (with an A3 license), can be downloaded and installed from the [Install Office] option on the Microsoft 365 Portal start screen.

Note: Each user can install the apps on up to five devices.
