Password

I forgot my password, so I want to reset it.

  1. Click the "Password Change (Reset)" button on the top screen, then click 「Click here for Password Reset」
  2. Enter the user ID(Students enter their student ID number.), date of birth, and card issue date.
    If the card issuance date is in the Japanese calendar, enter the Japanese calendar. If it is a Western calendar, enter the Western calendar.
  3. You will receive an email containing the password for reset to your pre-registered one-time password email address (private address).
  4. Confirm the reset password, enter the password reset screen from the link provided, and enter the reset password and new password.

The password has been locked.

If the password expires and is locked, you cannot change the password. Reset the password.
Read the "I forgot my password, so I want to reset it." for details.

I want to change my password.

  1. Click the "Password Change (Reset)" button on the top screen, and click here for 「Password Change/User Information Confirmation」
  2. When the user management screen appears, click "Change Your password" button to change it.

Can I reset/change my password from off-campus?

Yes, you can. However, your email address for the one-time password must be registered.

You can register (change) the e-mail address for the one-time password from the "Password Change, Confirmation Of User Information" on the website of CNC only on campus.

To reset the password, you also need an IC card (Student ID, employee ID, and certification card) issued by our university.

Email

Mail software that supports advanced authentication (OAuth2).

Email software that support advanced authentication are Outlook (2016 or later), Windows Mail (Windows 10 or later), Thunderbird (78.0 or later), Mac Mail (Mac OS 10.15.5 or late), Becky! Internet Mail (2.75.02 or later).

Can I check the storage capacity and usage of emails?

We use the Microsoft 365 mail system.

The storage capacity of the mail is 50 GB.

You can check the e-mail usage in the following ways.

What should I do if I get spam?

Due to the nature of e-mail, there is no fundamental solution.

However, if each person knows the settings of the e-mail software, you can reduce the frequency of seeing junk e-mail.

  • Set your antivirus program to always check the contents of attachments.
  • Since files containing viruses are often attached to junk mail, you should set your e-mail software not to automatically open junk mail and its attachments when you receive e-mail.
  • If you get a title that you clearly know is spam, don't open it and move it to your spam folder or the trash can. To alleviate this problem, there are filtering functions and junk e-mail learning functions in major e-mail software. It has a function that automatically sorts mails containing certain senders or phrases. You'll have to check later to make sure it's sorted correctly, but most emails are sorted well with this feature.
  • It's annoying to see so many gibberish email lists, but most replies don't go to the real sender. Rather, it is considered a responsive email and can be further abused.
  • If we both take measures against spam mail, it is not always 100% certain that it will be delivered to the other party.

When the mail from the university(LiveCampus) does not reach the mobile phone

1.Configuring Junk E-mail Filter on Mobile Phones

Please note that you may not be able to receive e-mails from the university due to the efforts of cell phone carriers to improve security, or due to your own spam mail filter settings.
There is also an important message from our student center, so please set and confirm the following so that you can receive emails.

How to set up email reception
  1. Add "saga-u.ac.jp" to the "Receive Option List"
    You'll need to add a whitelist if you're rejecting mail from a non-carrier.
  2. Added "saga-u.ac.jp" to the "Designated inbox list setting (spoofing/forwarded mail permission)".
    If you have set up "spoofing restrictions", you need to add a whitelist.
2.Check the string to the left of @ in your cell phone email address.

If the following items apply to the character string to the left of @ in the mobile phone email address (account part), you will not receive emails from the university, so you will need to change your mobile phone email address.

  1. Alphabets, numbers, and some symbols of up to 63 characters connected by ". (period/dot)" connecting them.
  2. Using a series of dots.
  3. Using a dot right before the "@".

When the notification e-mail from the student center does not reach your mobile phone

Checking your mobile phone email address registered with LiveCampus

Log in to LiveCampus,

  • Click on the "Click here to go to Academic Affairs, Employment, and Library" button.
  • Click on "Academic Affairs (Registration, Grades, etc.)"
  • Go to "Student Information"
  • Open "Browse for Student Information" and check your cell phone email address.
If your cell phone email address is wrong
  1. Open "Update Student Information" in "Student Information" and correct your cell phone email address.
  2. If your mobile phone email address registered with LiveCampus is correct,
  • If the Junk E-mail Filter on the mobile phone is set to reject, change the setting.
    • Refer to "How to set up email reception" in the upper part.
  • If the mobile phone is not rejected as junk mail, it is possible that the mobile phone carrier has judged it as junk mail and rejected it.
    • In that case, wait for your cell phone carrier to remove the junk mail status.

Network

I can't connect to the campus Wi-Fi.

Please check the following

The SSID of the wireless LAN is "000saga-u". Normally, please connect to this one.

If you cannot connect to "000saga-u", perform the following procedure to reconnect.

  1. Attempt to remove access point: "000saga-u" from the Wi-Fi list.
    (With "000saga-u" selected, you can delete by right-clicking and deleting.)
  2. When the screen to enter the username and password appears, enter it.

I can't use the Internet. (When connected to wireless LAN)

Please check the following

  1. Go to the URL beginning with http://www.saga-u.ac.jp (Enter it without s)
  2. When the authentication screen (single sign-on screen) is displayed, enter the user ID and password, and when the "Network use permission" screen appears, you can use the Internet.
  3. You can use the Internet without authentication for a month if you register your terminal on the "Network usage permission" screen. However, it must be updated monthly.

Microsoft365Portal

I can't sign in to Microsoft 365

  • Is your sign-in ID the email address of Saga University?
  • Is the password correct?
  • Has your password expired?
  • Has the phone number to which the authentication code is sent changed?

If you have the correct email address but cannot sign in, try deleting your browser history and signing in again, or try signing in with another browser.

If you still can't sign in, your password might have expired.

※The password is valid for one year from renewal. In this case, reset the password.

Refer to "Password Change/Reset" for the reset method.

Multi-factor authentication fails

Please check the following

  1. Has the phone number changed?
    If it has changed, it will be a multi-factor authentication reset, so please come to the office with your student ID and staff ID.
  2. Is the multi-factor authentication destination fixed phone?
    Wait a while or switch to multi-factor authentication on your mobile phone.
  3. Did you press the wrong button during voice authentication?
    Some buttons may lock. In that case, please come to the office with your student ID and staff ID.

Can I do multi-factor authentication for Microsoft365 using something other than my phone number?

You can use multi-factor authentication with Microsoft Authenticator (free), an authentication app for smartphones provided by Microsoft.

For details on how to set up Microsoft Authenticator, refer to "Authentication application setting method (smartphone users)" in Microsoft 365 Multi-factor Authentication.

What if I don't want to keep my Microsoft 365 sign-in history?

If you don't want to retain user information or browsing history from when you signed in to the Microsoft 365 portal on someone else's computer or a shared computer, use your web browser's Private Window.

I want to install Microsoft Office on my PC (student)

  1. Connect your PC to a network with Internet access.
  2. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Portal.
    ・Sign-in ID:student number@edu.cc.saga-u.ac.jp
    ・Password:University password
  3. When the Microsoft 365 Portal Start page appears, click the Install Office button.
  4. Office is downloaded and installed. The installation might take about 30 minutes.
  5. After Office is installed, start Word.
  6. Go to "File" and then "Account" to sign in.

I want to change the display name of my Microsoft 365 portal

Note that it may take 2 to 3 days to change the display name.

I want to create a team in Teams

If you want to create a team in Teams for your cc tenant, please complete the required information and submit it to CNC from the Teams Team Application Form Page *Japanese Only

You are free to create Teams for your edu tenant, so you do not need to submit a "Teams Team Subscription Form.".

If you no longer need the team you created in Teams for your edu tenant, be sure to delete the team.

When you can't sign in to the Teams desktop app

If "I'm sorry. A problem has occurred." is displayed and you can no longer sign in, you may be able to sign in by clearing the Teams cache.

Quit running Teams or Office, and then do the following:.

Windows
  1. Right-click the Start button and choose Run.
  2. In the dialog box that appears, enter% LocalAppData% \Microsoft for Name and click OK.
  3. Right-click the Teams folder and select Delete.
Mac
  1. Make sure Finder is written on the left edge of the menu bar at the top of the screen, then click Go.
  2. From the menu that appears, select Move to Folder.
  3. In the pop-up window that appears, enter "~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft (or ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft)" and click Move.
  4. Right-click the Teams folder and select "Move to Trash.".
  5. Click the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the menu bar to open Spotlight Search.
  6. Type "Keychain" and click "Keychain Access" in the suggestions that appear.
  7. Search for Microsoft Teams, right-click on Microsoft Teams Identities Cache and select Delete.

Authentication of SAGA University Info System

Unable to login to LiveCampus (single sign-on authentication) on Edge

Delete all Edge history.

  • Click […] at the top right of the screen and then [History].
  • Click […] → [Clear Browsing Data].
  • Set the Time Range to All Periods, and then click Clear Now.

I have not received my one-time password.

Please check the followings

  1. Have you registered an email address to receive your one-time password?
    For registration and confirmation, please go to "Password change (reset)/User information confirmation" on the top page of CNC.
  2. Is the sender restricted by the mail reception filter of the mobile phone?
    The sender of the one-time password is "LiveCamp@mail.admin.saga-u.ac.jp", so if you have restrictions on receiving e-mails from this e-mail address, please set your filter so that you can receive e-mails from this address.
